A New Seat

I ordered Ruby's new car seat this week. Talk about a hard decision! There are so many choices and price points to consider. And with me being so cautious about Ruby's safety and Bobby experiencing major sticker-shock with all things baby related it was a tough call to make. But in the end I bit the bullet and decided on the Britax Marathon. It has so many great features and my sister has loved hers (as do most people who have gone the Britax route)and I think Ruby will like it too. As shown by these photos:

We haven't installed it in the car yet; she can still fit in her bucket seat but it was on sale so I decided to get it now and save a buck. I think she's going to enjoy riding in her "cadillac" as Bobby calls it.

Did you get it online? Where did you find it on sale? I'm looking to get one too!

I love that last picture!

Tell Ashley I bought mine at Target for $200, and that's their regular price.

Ruby's such a cutie. We love that birthday balloon video and Lilly has sung countless Happy Birthdays to Ruby with that other video :)

We love love love our Britax. I have to talk Daniel through the sticker-shock, too. But, when it comes down to it, I really do think the Britax are fabulous for safety, not to mention comfort. Maddie has no problem falling asleep in hers. I am looking for a sale on one for Eliza. That will be our third Britax. I am sold.

Thank you for the information and inspiration! Josie is 18 months old and still in her infant carseat. I've been meaning to get her a new one for a long time, but I just haven't bit the bullet until today. I got the same one as you and when I did a search for it, it showed up on Albeebaby.com for $210. Yeah! Thank you!

I'm sure you're already aware of this, but in my research today I found that the American Academy of Pediatrics has revised their recommendations for rear-facing car seats. This article was just published online yesterday:

I try not to give unsolicited advice (especially when it comes to parenting) but I just thought you would be interested.
Love that little Ruby! I hope Josie likes her new seat as much as Ruby does.

I just want to pinch her little bum!

yeah, poor little bubs have to stare at the backseat for a while longer :) i'm a stickler for safety, so ruby will be rear-facing until she's two.
