Lemon of my eye

I have to admit that it has been a while since my last post. You can ask Maggie about how I get a little harumph when I don't get any messages on my blog entries, so I just kind of stopped. Well, being an almost father makes me want to step up a little bit and brag about my amazing wife and my little lemon. Lemon you say?? Yes Lemon. Every Monday, we check on this website to see all about what the baby has developed, how big HE is and all sorts of little tidbits. Well, since Maggie still isn't sure what sex the baby is (I know its a boy), we call the baby whatever size it is....so this week the little angel's name is lemon. Ode to a lemon....I love lemon....lemon is so sweet...lemon is my little baby. Okay, if that was a poem it was awful. Maybe it was a haiku. I happen to be related to some literati out there in the blogosphere who will probably correct me on my use of haiku (sorry). Anyway, blah blah blah, Maggie is amazing, I love her with all of my heart, and I also love my little lemon.

We love the little lemon, too. And this is also a comment on your post :)

Yup, definitely not a haiku ;) Here's one for you (the secret's in the good ol' 5/7/5 syllable count):

Bobby's sweet lemon
grows a bit bigger each day
Bobby loves Lemon

And I think this post was very cute!

Very cute...I'm sure Maggie is appreciative of having such a supportive husband during this time! Especially that you're so interested in whether or not your little one is a bean, peanut, or lemon.
I look at the same website and I just have to add that I love my leek! Doesn't sound quite as good as lemon. :-) Apparently my little girl is as long as a leek, but she's all curled up so I'm not sure it really counts.
Anyway, congrats again and I'll let the girls know.

Your poem was great, whatever it was :)

I remember the days of Chris being a cute, dorky father! It's been so long...and now it's your turn! Keep up the momentum, Maggie will LOVE how attached you grow to the baby- it makes it so much more worth it! And sorry, but as for me, I'm holding out for a girl since they are the BEST!!!!

Lemon Berry. Now that is sounding like a possible name.

I am so glad the baby is growing - Little Lemon is a much better name than Medium Shrimp!

You have a smart SIL that wrote you a real Haiku....funny. Crazy that you can love a lemon isn't it. Wait till you the watermelon comes, you can't get enough of it.

The lemon loves you too, Bobby!

Bob,
Lemons are sour. How about something like your little cinnamon roll, or large Swedish fish. Perhaps a nice nectarine is growing in there.
