34 Weeks
It seems Jack is quite content in his current residence. I'm feeling great, my body's doing good and I've been given the A-OK to get off my medication, so life here is good. We're eagerly anticipating the little man's arrival, and Ruby is just about the cutest thing ever talking to "baby Jack" which sounds more like "bay Jahhh!" We're just about ready for him to join our family the only thing wanting now is clothes and since I've got a shower in a couple weeks, that should take care of that.
Life is good!

33 Weeks
So, Jack is still enjoying life inside rather than outside, which is just fine by us. Every day or two I'll have an hour of contractions every 3-4 minutes, but if I lay down they usually subside pretty quickly. So, apparently he may wait awhile longer to make his grand entrance. I have another appointment with my midwife on Friday and hopefully she'll tell me I can get off the medication I'm taking to keep the contractions at bay (yeah, the contractions haven't really gotten word that I'm taking medicine to make them go away). Can't wait to meet baby Jack, but not for a little while yet.

Going Shopping
Ruby loves to go with us to run errands. Every time one of us tells her we're going somewhere she always points to herself and says, "Me too." She hates to be left behind. And she knows the benefits of every store we go to.
King Soopers has free cookies.
Walmart has a Puumba ride that I've let her go on a few times.

And Target has a big red ball she can sit on.

It's nice that she's so easily amused!

Getting ready for Jack
The last couple weeks I've been opening all the baby boxes, sorting through blankets and miscellaneous baby things, getting everything ready for Jack to come. I've washed and cleaned and organized and we're just about ready. Ruby has been fascinated with all this work. I pulled out the infant car seat, cleaned it off and washed the cover and she just had to try it out again, for old times sake.

32 Weeks
Today I'm 32 weeks along with Jack and we feel very blessed. When I had my little stint in the hospital, we weren't sure when this little man would make his appearance. And then we hit 31 weeks and now 32.
I went to my midwife last Friday and she said I could get off bedrest but I still needed to take it easy and be careful with how busy I get. Can I tell you how glad I was to hear that? I only had bedrest for a week and there are women who have to be stuck in bed for months. I don't know how they come out of it with any sanity left. By the end of the week I was ready to poke my eyeballs out I was so bored.
But Jack is doing just fine, he's moving like a little acrobat all the time, and I feel pretty good. So now we just wait and count the weeks that pass as a blessing that he gets to stay a resident of my uterus for a little bit longer and grow, develop, and get chunkier.

The Park
We love our little community where we live. It's quiet, close to everything we could ask for and it has a little park right across the street. When the weather is nice we walk over just about every day and usually Ruby gets a double dose of park fun because Bobby will take her when he gets home from work. It's just about her favorite place to be and she asks to go every day. She loves to slide, swing, and take her big bouncy ball and play with it on the field. We're so blessed to have this convenient place to play so close since we don't have a yard that she can roam in.

Two
I can't believe our little girl has been two for a month now! It's crazy to think that she's been with us this long and yet it feels like she's been part of this family forever. She's really getting independent and tries me all the time. She's such a happy, easy going little girl, but man is she mischievous! She rarely listens to what I ask her to do and easily sits in time out at least 10 times a day. But she's such a fun little personality to have around.
We went to Phoenix to celebrate her birthday and my sister's girl, Ivy's birthday together. They're only two days apart and it's so much fun to see them playing together.

We partied, ate lots of great food and opened presents.

We had a blast!

Projects
The last couple months I've been working on some furniture projects, trying to furiously get a few things done before Jack makes his arrival (which apparently, could now be any time). I've become a Craigslist obsessed stalker and we've made a few great purchases which have been transformed over the last few weeks.
I'll post pics soon, because I haven't taken afters (and I was woefully short-minded in taking befores, so you'll just have to trust me that they look fabulous after). I worked on a dresser for Jack's room, a dresser for Ruby's pending "big girl" room, and a couple nightstands for our bedroom. And I'm still compulsively looking at Craigslist to see what else I can find. Do we need anything else? Absolutely not. But I can't. stop. looking. I'm a little crazed. Maybe it's a good thing this whole bedrest thing is going on because now I'm forced to not be able to work on furniture.
Ruby has loved all the hub-bub going on with the furniture being finished. She loves going to Home Depot and the paint store and buying supplies (her favorite thing to do is play with the foam brushes at the paint store) and helping out. And when I say helping, it's more getting in the way than anything, but she's so cute and so much fun to be around that I can't get too upset with her. So here we are on a little shopping trip to Home Depot:

Who would have thought a little girl could fit so perfectly in a 5 gallon bucket?

First Snowstorm
When we first arrived in Colorado we got slammed with a huge snow fall. It was awesome...I love snow and being in the heat of Texas for 8 months made me miss it. Ruby's never really had a chance to see or play in snow, so this was a great adventure for her! We went out and bought her some snow pants and then Bobby took her outside to play. They ran through the snow, made snow angels, snow men (which Ruby took great delight in knocking over)and had a blast.
